you gotta have music!!

sooo i was sitting here watching the movie "Me and Orson Welles" and i was totally loving the music!! so i thought this would be a great time to start thinking about cocktail music and eating music and all that downtime music before people get down and boogie! sooo first one that is definitely a must would be...."Glen miller"FANTASTIC! then there was the one my mom just told me about which would be "Tommy Dorsey"! lovely...so now i think im gonna have to find a good mix between them all! alrighty thats it for now!

ceremony site!

ok finally back from hiatus! i have more to share! so i was thinking of saving money and having the ceremony at a church but i could not find a nice vintage beautiful one near the nixon library i looked and looked and then i stumbled upon this beautiful work of art called the "first presbyterian church of santa ana! about 20 minutes away...and it gives us a chance to ride away in style to our reception destination and its not to far for out of town guests! so here is a picture! i think its rather beautiful! the price is 950 which is not bad but not really wonderful but it does include classes for me and my man and our very own changing rooms! the rehearsal....and the officiant! oh yah!!!and they provide you with the unity candle!!! SWEET! so let me know what you think<3

continuation of Nixon library!

Richard Nixon Library (all you need to know)

The Library's unmatched splendor has created a glowing reputation for hosting Orange County's most talked about wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Library's carefully sculptured gardens and the classically designed Museum are exclusively yours for your special day.

Capture the beauty of your day with photographs taken throughout the meticulously landscaped grounds, perhaps in our old California styled walkway colonnades. Picture yourself being married near the very gazebo that Tricia Nixon Cox was married under in the White House Gardens. Just steps away, the reflecting pool sets a tranquil tone for the ideal ceremony.

Then move into the magnificent White House East Room for your reception. Now you can be among the first to hold your wedding reception in southern California's most exciting new venue. Guests have the option of privately viewing the expansive exhibit galleries. The brand-new catering kitchen plays host to the area's finest catering companies.

And again we are doing our own suito "notebook" inspired shoot! we are planning on recreating the dancing in the street scene at the bridge and a 1940's dance theme at the cicada club! and lastly the union station will show what our relationship has been like for the past years! he leaves comes back then leaves again! rather depressing...but it wont be like that for much longer! :)

decoration ideas!

ok so since it is a 1940's theme! im actually going for a hollywood glamour 1940's party theme! im thinking feather plume centerpieces! my colors are red, black, cream, and gold! the red and black are really more of interesting accents!:P Also im having a picture frame at every table each one a different couple in either a movie or tv show that has touched our lives!I will get more into that later! also i really want a lot of red roses everywhere! very romantic feel to it! we are planning to have a photo booth there! so that should be interesting! lots of fun things await! another thing is we are asking our guests to really try to get in the era feeling and dress up in their formal attire! Black bow ties and pretty formal gowns!its definitely gonna be a formal affair! hopefully hollywood glamour at its best and a great experience for our guests to remember for a lifetime<3

wedding venue

Nixon Library! beautiful place!!! it is located in orange county, ca! its fabulous, the very first place i have found that does not look like a prom vendor! its very beautiful and classic and everything i have been looking for! my fiancee and i went to their open house earlier this year and i seriously wanted to cry it was soo beautiful just walking through the doors! *Breath taking*(ahhhh) i just knew this was it! My fiancee thinks it feels kinda business like and is not completely loving it...(lame) sooo... we are thinking of using possibly another vendor for the ceremony so thats still in the works! but the reception for sure is gonna be there :D! check it out! wonderful and such a great price! ( the picture you see is the picture i took of the east room at their open house) I LOVE IT <3
